Beauty Schools and Courses in Japan

2 verified schools and academies with a teaching location here, offering 5 courses and programs. This is the research done to date, not a complete list of every provider.

By prefecture

Results are listed alphabetically. There is no price ranking: prices in different currencies and bases (per day, per course, per year, per instalment) are not comparable. Courses for teens and children appear only when you choose a youth audience. Online programs are never counted as physically located in a state or city. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change recognition status, verification or order.

About beauty training and licensing in Japan

How beauty training is organised

Hairdressing (beautician, 美容師) is a licensed occupation: a Hiroshima Prefecture page states that candidates must graduate from a training facility designated by the prefectural governor and then pass the national examination. Esthetics, nail and lash training sits largely outside that licensing system and is delivered by private schools, often preparing students for association or international awards such as CIDESCO, CIBTAC and the Japan Esthetic Association (AJESTHE) certificates. Most courses are taught in Japanese.
